WSOP.com To Launch In Nevada On Sept 19th

Another online poker room coming to Nevada

The World Series of Poker came and gone this summer in Las Vegas and while the announcement on the official site and the booth right at the entrance to the Rio All-suite Hotel & Casino encouraged players to sign up in advance for the online poker room, it never launched. It would seem that Caesars Entertainment is now ready to make the big launch as it announced this Thursday, September 19th, to be the much anticipated date.

WSOP.com To Launch In Nevada On Sept 19thThe virtual doors will open at 9:19 a.m. local time and WSOP.com will become the second online poker room to launch under the new regulations in the state of Nevada. It is expected that the offer will be a lot richer than the first site to launch a few months ago, Ultimate Poker, which won the race but was considered by many players as being too slim. The poker games that will most likely be available will cover cash, sit & go tournaments, multi-table tournaments and satellites across a multitude of variations; such as Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Seven-card Stud. Freerolls should also be on the list of options and players will be able to take part in free tournaments and win real money.

According to the statements made by Caesars, the online poker room will have a reward program called Action Club, which will reward players based on how much they play and contribute to the rake. Total Rewards points will be generated with every real money bet and they can then be used for various things, including room purchases in hotels, tickets to Las Vegas shows and even WSOP buy-ins.

The high expectations regarding the WSOP-branded online poker room also come from the statements made by Caesars officials in which they claimed that Nevada doesn’t yet have a real poker site. When it launches, the card room will also be compatible with Mac computers, something that Ultimate Poker doesn’t yet offer.

Of course, most of the eggs are in the WSOP basket and the popularity the brand has across the world, and especially in Nevada. The poker room will only be available within state borders and players will have to use location verification protocols with their mobile phone in order to confirm their position.

With just two days to go until the big launch, Ultimate Poker is certainly not looking forward to the competition after having the monopoly in the online poker market for several months. It remains to be seen if the sites really take off, but the curiosity from the players is certainly there, especially for such a big brand such as the World Series of Poker.

A unique poker site for non-US players

As a new online poker room is getting ready to launch in Nevada, players which are not under the strict US regulations can enjoy a much wider variety of options. However, one of them really manages to stand out from the group by offering an innovative and unique 3D online poker experience.
